A new day.

Been a while. I have been so busy. Lately I just want to give up. I am taking care of so many people and doing so many things. Next week I have appointments three days. None of them are for me but for an older (72) gentleman I help out. I also cook for three people right now. I have recently planted my garden. I water it daily. Yesterday I spread manure mixed with water over it. I can't afford fertilizer and can get cow or horse manure free so I just mix it with water and make it sludgy and spread it. Will try to do that once a month. Right now the ground is not really good for growing but I will get it that way. I surf the net and facebook for all kinds of recipes. I like to cook. I relaxes me. Found a new facebook page called Granny's Favorites Cookbook. Got some old timey recipes that I can't find in my real Grannys cook books or the ones I have purloined from my mother. I have about 37 cookbooks right now. Don't use to may of them. But I read them like most people read books. I know I am weird. ANyhow just realized this was still out there so figured I would add something. Try to remember tomorrow. May even write out a recipe or two. Have a great day and God Bless all

The Begining

Well I am back from doing the laundry. Got clothes put away.
Started the turnip greens for dinner tonight. Yeah I am making meatloaf ( a favorite of mine) and turnip greens and mashed potatoes.
Then went to do some weed eating and realized I was out of string in the weed eater. Called the room mate and asked him to bring some home; that translate into sometime next week
. Then room mate called me back and asked if I could take a  a renter of my landlords a goody box. Meaning some one needed some food and would I please help them out. I got three bags of food together and took it to them. They were appreciative and we talked for about 1/2 hour.
I got home and let the boys out. My boys are Groucho and Marley. They are my dogs. Marley is about 2 yrs. old and Groucho is just old. I got both dogs through someone else no longer wanting them and me making them mine . With Marley he knew me before I got him. In fact i was the only person he would come to and I didn't want to see him go to the pound. My room mate brought Grouch home one day and said he was left at a house that had been evicted by my landlord and asked if I could nurse him back to health. Marley is considered a little dog and Grouch is bitty size. He probably weighs 3 lbs. Marley is around 10 lbs. They are both chihuahua. Marley is a mix and Groucho is a miniature. I talk to the boys like they are people. Problem is they don't talk back. Ha Ha.
When I get around real people I tend to talk a lot. You can't shut me up with a roll of duct tape and a tube of super glue. I talk to certain cashiers at Wal-mart or the Murphy gas station. I call an older gentleman I check on about once a week. Then I talk to my ex-sister-in-law and ex-husband about twice a week. I talk to a friend at church on Sundays and when I go to the monthly county food bank I talk to some of the regulars I see down there. The Grandma across the street that watches her grandchildren during the day and my neighbor in front of me are also people I talk to. Oh! And of course I call my mother at least once a day.
Otherwise I live through facebook and reading about other peoples lives. Now I have started this blog thingy and really don't expect anyone to be interested in mundane life. I just think of it as an on-line diary.
I have recently quit smoking and some days it is easy. I don't even think about the fact that I smoked up to 2 packs a day. Then there are days like today that I want a cigarette so bad. I won't though. I hate to think that a cigarette has that kind of power over me.
Well I am off to check my e-mails and then the boys and I are going for a walk.

The Begining

I have recently made changes in my life that I would like to share. The first change is I have become more involved in church. I have really been listening to the sermons and trying to apply them to my life. I started to feel better about myself. I go to a so called mega church. It is called Free Chapel. It is located in Gainesville Georgia. It is also located in California. Any how my church may be a mega church but Pastor Jentzen Franklin is awesome. When he preaches it is like he is talking personally to you. If you don't believe me check it out at FreeChapel.org. You can listen to a sermon or even stream it live on Sunday. I go to the first service at 9 A.M.
Now for a little background. I am 44 yrs. old and have recently quit smoking. I have survived two brain surgeries, a gunshot and cancer. I have went from being totally dependent on other people to a very highly independent person. I like to be challenged daily and prefer to have a positive outlook on life.I think I am a little offbeat or different but to me that is normal. I am starting this blog as a way to chronicle my journey to a better improved me. And it is something new. I like to always learn new things.
Well enough for now. I plan on posting at least once a day and telling of my accomplishments, joys ,sorrows ,or just a new way of looking at things. I will not post names of other people unless I have their permission.
I will attempt to post tonight. Right now I need to make lunch for my room mate and sort laundry. I am off to the laundry mat this morning. Woo Hoo!! Have a great day people and God Bless!!
